Following the more action-oriented Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 7 returns to the franchise&#39;s survival horror roots, emphasizing exploration. The player controls Ethan Wintershe searches for his wife in a derelict plantation occupied by the cannibal Baker family, solving puzzles and fighting enemies. It is the first main series game to use the first-person view. Let&#39;s start with the cons of the game first. Like most Resident Evil games, there are some puzzles to solve and obstacles to get through, but they aren&#39;t quitestrenuousthe previous entries; also, there aren&#39;t a whole lot of them which is sad because I love solving puzzles when I&#39;m playing a horror game. I&#39;m going to be a little nit-picky here, but you don&#39;t get enough room in your inventory. Fortunately, you can find backpacks to increase some space. You can also find storage cases to put away items you can save for later or don&#39;t really need like keys or herbs.<br/><br/>And now the pros. I really like the first-person perspective in this game; it really makes​ you feel like you are in this nightmarish world. The monsters, also knownthe Molden, are, by far, the coolest-looking things I&#39;ve ever seen. Though, I do wish that there was more variation to these creatures. There are four, but that&#39;s it. The use of VHS tapes is a clever feature. They basically give you clues throughout your journey. The graphics are beautiful to look at, probably one of the best graphics I&#39;ve ever seen in any Resident Evil game.<br/><br/>Overall, I had a great time playing this game! I think this is way better than Operation Raccoon City and certainly better than Umbrella Corps. If you are a survival horror fan, check it out! You won&#39;t be disappointed. Resident evil 7 takes lots of queues from the previous games from the series, and combines them with newer horror games (Outlast) but feels like one of the most fresh games I have played in a while. The game is very densely packed with secrets to find. I found the game even more fun on my second and third playthrough. The multiple endings do feel lazy though, and they feel like a try to get people to play the game again. Combat is very fun, and the setting is creepy and the game is horrifying at times. I do recommend this game to anyone who likes horror game.
